Suzanne was raised in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Her appreciation for art began at a young age when she was exposed to a world class art collection that was housed at a museum in her home town. Her love of art continued throughout her college years when she spent time visiting galleries in Boston, New York and in Washington D.C. While appreciating the “masters” of art, she now enjoys the arts locally and bringing art to a more personal level.

starrySeveral years ago Suzanne joined a women’s “Artist’s Way” group and began exploring a variety of mediums. “Art was a wonderful avenue for me to explore and to express myself while dealing with some health and life issues”. Suzanne was initially fascinated with work in paper cuts with bold colors. She has also worked extensively with oil pastels, exploring texture and blending colors together.

These days Suzanne is working to bring art into the pubic schools in Bellingham. She believes that many of the concepts in art education enhance the broader educational experience. She sees art as a valuable tool for young people for self-expression and integration in this complex world we live in.
